KILASTOTABUAN.COM, KOTAMOBAGU – Kepala Badan Perlindungan Pekerja Migran Indonesia (BP2MI) bersama Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN) mengadakan sosialisasi peluang kerja ke luar negeri kepada anggota Gereja Masehi Injil di Bolaang Mongondow (GMIBM), bertempat di Aula GMIBM Kotamobagu, Rabu, (23/6/2021).
Menurut Kepala Badan Pelindungan Pekerja Migran Indonesia (BP2MI), Benny Rhamdani, bahwa melalui sosialisasi ini, bisa memberikan pencerahan kepada setiap warga negara, bahwa menjadi pekerja migran itu bukan pekerjaan rendah dan bukan sumber dari masalah, justru mereka inilah adalah para pahlawan devisa, penyumbang terbesar kedua kepada negara setelah sektor migas, yakni sebesar Rp 159, 6 triliun.
“Pekerja migran itu adalah orang Indonesia yang bekerja di luar negeri dengan mendapatkan bayaran, dan migran bukan pekerjaan yang hina, dulu namanya TKI dan sekarang berubah menjadi PMI menurut undang-undang. Dan apabila pekerja migran mengalami kekerasan fisik, kekerasan seksual dan gaji tidak dibayar, itu terjadi karena berangkat dengan cara tidak resmi. Serta apabila berangkat dengan tidak memiliki skill, bagaimana bisa seseorang bekerja di negara luar dengan budaya yang berbeda dengan bahasa yang berbeda tetapi tidak memiliki skill,” kata Benny Rhamdani.

Dalam sosialisasi tersebut, ia juga mengatakan bahwa sebaiknya warga negara Indonesia yang ingin bekerja di luar negeri, diimbau agar tidak memilih negara-negara yang memiliki upah rendah.
“Peluang kerja di Asia, Jepang merupakan wilayah yang memiliki standar gaji memcapai 22 juta sampai 30 juta, sementara negara Jerman 34 juta sampai 40 juta, Hongkong, Taiwan, Korea, upahnya sampai di atas 20 juta, ini merupakan semua sektor pekerjaan. Dalam hal suplai, dari pihak BP2MI akan menyiapkan pelatihan dan pendidikan, kami akan membekali para pekerja,” katanya.
Selain itu, BP2MI juga telah memberikan kemudahan dalam hal pembiayaan bagi para warga Indonesia yang ingin menjadi pekerja migran, berupa bantuan pinjaman melalui Bank BNI dengan bunga yang sangat rendah.
“Untuk pelatihannya, berupa pelatihan bahasa, keterampilan, untuk mengurus pasport dan visa dan untuk membeli tiket. Jadi negara sudah menyiapkan sepenuhnya serta perlindungan bagi pekerja migran indonesia,” katanya.
Sementara untuk menjadi pekerja migran, minimal berusia 18 tahun dan maksimal 45 tahun, dengan jenjang pendidikan akan disesuaikan oleh negara-negara yang dibutuhkan. (Gie)
