KILASTOTABUAN.COM, JAKARTA — Wakil Presiden Ma’ruf Amin mengatakan posisi wakil menteri dalam negeri (Wamendagri) diperlukan mengingat volume pekerjaan di lingkup Kemendagri cukup tinggi selama ini.
“Kementerian Dalam Negeri mungkin dianggap volumenya cukup besar ya karena menangani masalah provinsi, kabupaten, kota yang cukup besar. sehingga perlu ada penambahan wakil menteri. Saya pikir itu,” kata Ma’ruf kepada pewarta, Jumat (7/1).
Ma’ruf menjelaskan bahwa menambah posisi wakil menteri di sebuah kementerian harus berorientasi berdasarkan kebutuhan atau volume pekerjaan. Baginya, Presiden Jokowi sudah mempertimbangkan kementerian mana saja yang ditambah dengan posisi wakil menteri.
“Tetapi orientasi pertamanya itu pada kebutuhan, volume pekerjaan yang tidak cukup ditangani oleh menteri,” kata dia.
Ma’ruf turut menilai penambahan posisi wamen bukan kali ini saja dilakukan pemerintahan Joko Widodo. Upaya itu pernah dilakukan di beberapa kementerian, seperti di Kemenag hingga Kemenhan.
“Nah karena itu dibuatlah wakil-wakil menteri di beberapa kementerian termasuk Kementerian Dalam Negeri yang belum diisi saya kira, ada yang sudah diisi seperti Kementerian Agama, Kementerian Agraria, Hankam, itu kementerian-kementerian yang memang sudah ada wamennya,” kata Ma’ruf.
Pada awal tahun 2022 ini, Jokowi kembali menambah jabatan baru Wamendagri. Jabatan baru itu di tuangkan lewat Peraturan Presiden Nomor 114 Tahun 2021 tentang Kementerian Dalam Negeri.
Kabinet Jokowi total memiliki 23 kursi wakil menteri. Sebanyak 14 kursi wakil menteri di antaranya sudah diisi sejak Kabinet Indonesia Maju diumumkan Jokowi 23 Oktober 2019 lalu. Sementara sembilan lainnya masih kosong sampai saat ini. (*)
