KILASTOTABUAN.COM, KOTAMOBAGU – Wakil Walikota Kotamobagu Nayodo Koerniawan, menghadiri acara syukuran SMP Katolik Theodorus atas diperolehnya penghargaan Sekolah Adiwiyata Nasional 2021, Senin (17/1/2022).
Dalam acara tersebut Nayodo mengatakan, dengan diraihnya penghargaan Sekolah Adiwiyata Nasional oleh SMP Theodorus Kotamobagu, dapat menjadi motivasi bagi kita semua dalam meningkakan kebersihan dan kenyamanan sekolah bagi para anak-anak.
“Raihnya piagam penghargaan sebagai sekolah adiwiyata akan menjadi motivasi dan memacu SMP Katolik Theodorus kotamobagu untuk terus berprestasi di masa-masa yang akan datang. Sehingga dapat memotivasi kita semua untuk meningkatkan kesadaran tentang pentingnya pelestarian di lingkungan sekolah,” kata Wakil Wali Kota Kotamobagu, Nayodo Koerniawan.
Penghargaan ini, kata dia. Merupakan program untuk memberikan kenyamanan dan mewujudkan budaya peduli lingkungan bagi siswa. Lewat program ini pendidikan atas kepedulian lingkungan secara langsung.
“Sebagaimana diketahui program adiwiyata adalah program untuk mewujudkan sekolah yang peduli dan berbudaya lingkungan yang di dalamnya mengandung prinsip edukatif, partisipatif dan berkelanjutan. Dalam pemberian penghargaan sebagai sekolah adiwiyata tingkat nasional ini, merupakan penghargaan yang di berikan bagi sekolah yang di nilai berhasil melaksanakan gerakan,” kata Nayodo.
Menurutnya, Peduli dan Berbudaya Lingkungan Hidup di Sekolah (PLHS) yaitu aksi kolektif secara sadar, sukarela serta berkelanjutan dalam menerapkan perilaku ramah lingkungan. Dalam meningkatkan kesadaran akan penting pelestarian lingkungan hidup di tingkat sekolah wilayah Kotamobagu. (Anggi)
