KILASTOTABUAN.COM, JAKARTA — Presiden Jokowi meninjau perkembangan pembangunan proyek Kereta Cepat Jakarta-Bandung di Purwakarta, Jawa Barat, Senin (17/1).
Dari hasil peninjauan, Jokowi mengakui proyek tidak berjalan sesuai dengan rencana. Ini terjadi karena pembangunan proyek kereta cepat masih menemui sejumlah kendala.
Salah satunya pembangunan di Terowong II, Purwakarta.
“Masalah teknis yang harus kita selesaikan, tapi tadi dari keterangan yang ada di lapangan, Dirut KCIC dan dari Menkomarves, Menteri PU bahwa Terowongan II ini memang berjalannya agak lambat, karena memang jenis tanah yang ada di sini memerlukan kerja yang penuh kehati-hatian,” tuturnya.
Meskipun mengalami kendala, ia meyakini proyek kereta cepat ini bakal segera rampung dan akan diuji coba pada akhir tahun ini. Keyakinan ia sampaikan berdasarkan perkembangan proyek yang saat ini proses pembangunan telah mencapai 79,9 persen.
“Kita harapkan nantinya di akhir 2022 ini sudah bisa diuji coba dan kemudian juni 2023 bisa kita operasionalkan,” ujar Jokowi usai meninjau proyek KCJB, Senin (17/1).
Jokowi berharap, keberadaan kereta cepat ini akan mengurangi kemacetan, baik di Jakarta maupun di Bandung. Selain itu, kereta cepat juga diharapkan dapat mempercepat mobilitas orang dan juga barang.
“Dan kita harapkan ini bisa jadi sebuah daya saing yang baik bagi negara kita,” tuturnya.
Seperti diketahui, proyek kereta cepat sempat menuai kontroversi pada tahun 2021. Penyebabnya, Jokowi mengubah komitmennya di proyek ini.
Semula, Jokowi ingin proyek tersebut tidak menggunakan dana APBN. Namun, keinginan itu berubah. Melalui Peraturan Presiden Nomor 93 Tahun 2021 tentang Percepatan Penyelenggaraan Prasarana dan Sarana Kereta Cepat antara Jakarta dan Bandung ia memberikan izin dana APBN dipakai untuk mendukung pembangunan proyek tersebut.
Kebijakan ini diambil karena pembangunan infrastruktur satu ini terkendala dan biaya proyeknya membengkak. Estimasinya, kebutuhan dana proyek semula sekitar US$6,07 miliar atau sekitar Rp86,67 triliun (kurs Rp14.280 per dolar AS) melonjak jadi US$8 miliar atau Rp114,24 triliun. (*)
