KILASTOTABUAN.COM, JAKARTA — Penduduk Desa Kariuw, Kecamatan, Pulau Haruku, Kabupaten Maluku Tengah saat ini masih mengungsi di dalam hutan setelah bentrokan antarwarga kampung Desa Kariuw dan Ori, Kecamatan Pulau Haruku, Maluku Tengah, Rabu (26/1).
Warga setempat, DP, mengaku saat ini warga yang mengungsi meliputi anak-anak, lansia dan kaum perempuan.
“Sebagian warga mengungsi ke kampung sebelah Aboru, sementara sebagian masih bertahan di dalam hutan,” ujarnya saat dihubungi, Rabu (26/1) sore.
Penduduk Desa Kariuw, kata dia, ada sekitar seribu orang sebagian besar masih memilih bertahan di tengah hutan untuk mencari perlindungan pascabentrok pagi tadi.
Ia bercerita, warga terpaksa memutuskan untuk meninggalkan permukiman penduduk karena keterbatasan peralatan perang saat bom dan tembakan terus mengudara.
“Karena terbatas peralatan perang warga terpaksa lari meninggal kampung, karena sepi rumah-rumah mereka dibakar,” ucap dia.
“Saat ini kampung mereka sepih, hanya ada aparat, tak mungkin warga tempati,” imbuhnya.
Kabid Humas Polda Maluku Kombes Pol Mohamad Ohoirat menyebut bentrokan antarwarga kampung Kariuw dan Ori, Kecamatan Pulau Haruku, Maluku Tengah diduga karena kesalahpahaman terkait batas wilayah.
Sejauh ini dilaporkan dua orang tewas akibat luka tembak. Sejumlah rumah warga juga terbakar imbas bentrokan tersebut. (*)
