KILASTOTABUAN.COM, KOTAMOBAGU – Melejitnya nama Wali Kota Kotamobagu dua periode, Tatong Bara, pada pemilihan legislatif 2024 mendatang sebagai calon anggota DPR RI, telah mendapatkan tanggapan.
Usai meluncurkan kegiatan Padat Karya Tunai Cash For Work (CFW), di Aula Rumah Dinas (Rudis) Wali Kota Kotamobagu, Rabu (9/6/2021), Tatong mengatakan bahwa dirinya merespons baik terkait wacana yang berkembang di kalangan pengamat politik.
“Mungkin mereka punya kalkulasi sendiri. Tetapi, tentu semangat ini saya apresiasi,” kata Tatong.
Ia juga menambahkan bahwa jika masyarakat menginginkan dirinya untuk maju dalam pemilihan legislatif nanti, sebagai salah satu calon anggota DPR RI, maka hal itu akan menjadi semangat tersendiri baginya.

“Jika kemudian masyarakat menginginkan, kenapa tidak? Tetapi biar saya konsentrasi selesaikan dulu amanah yang sementara dijalankan ini,” tambahnya.
Tetapi, Tatong tidak menampik kemungkinan akan keikutsertaan dirinya pada kompetisi di pemilihan legislatif tahun 2024 mendatang. “Yang pasti apa pun tugas kita, jika diminta oleh masyarakat, kita harus bisa maksimal,” katanya.
Saat ditanya partai yang nantinya akan menajdi kendaraannya untuk maju sebagai calon legislatif, Tatong mengatakan belum ada gambaran. “Jangan dulu kita memberikan gambaran, sudah disebut saja, saya sudah senang, apalagi ada partai yang nantinya akan mengusung,” tambah Tatong. (Gie)
