KILASTOTABUAN.COM, JAKARTA– Perusahaan Daerah (PD) Pasar Jaya membenarkan ada pedagang di Pasar Senen yang menjual daging anjing. Pasar Jaya mengaku telah memberikan sanksi kepada pedagang yang bersangkutan.
Manajer Umum dan Humas Perumda Pasar Jaya Gatra Vaganza mengatakan, pedagang tersebut berjualan di Blok II Pasar Senen.
“Kami selaku manajemen telah melakukan pemanggilan dan melakukan sanksi administrasi,” kata Gatra dalam sebuah rekaman video, Minggu (12/9).
Gatra menegaskan, Pasar Jaya bisa memberi sanksi lebih tegas, apabila pedagang tersebut kembali menjual daging anjing di pasar milik Pasar Jaya tersebut. Sanksi itu bahkan bisa sampai penutupan lapak secara permanen.
“Apabila pedagang tersebut masih melakukan hal yang sama, ke depannya akan dilakukan tindakan secara tegas, baik itu penutupan secara sementara ataupun penutupan secara permanen,” ujarnya.

Gatra menegaskan, sejak awal pihaknya melarang pedagang menjual daging anjing di lingkungan pasar milik Pasar Jaya. Kejadian ini, menurutnya, akan menjadi evaluasi Pasar Jaya.
“Daging anjing tersebut tidak dalam komoditi yang boleh diperjualbelikan di dalam pasar milik Perumda Pasar Jaya,” kata Gatra.
“Dan ke depannya ini akan jadi pelajaran bagi kami, evaluasi dalam sisi operasional pasar, sehingga ke depannya kejadian-kejadian seperti ini tidak akan terulang kembali,” paparnya.
Animal Defender Indonesia (ADI) sebelumnya mensomasi Perumda Pasar Jaya terkait penjualan daging anjing di Pasar Senen, Jakarta Pusat. ADI meminta penjualan daging anjing itu disetop.
“Setelah friendly reminder yang kami sampaikan kepada dinas KPKP, namun sepertinya tidak ada tindak lanjut sudah beberapa tahun, lalu kami melakukan somasi pada hari ini, sudah diterima di PD Pasar Jaya, berikut kepada tembusan-tembusan yang ditujukan,” kata Ketua Animal Defender, Doni Herdaru Tona saat dihubungi, Jumat (10/8).
Doni mengatakan pihaknya mendapati bahwa penjualan daging anjing di Pasar Senen itu sudah berlangsung lama. Ia mengaku kembali memutakhirkan informasi terkini dengan melakukan investigasi beberapa waktu lalu. (*)
