KILASTOTABUAN.COM, JAKARTA — Menteri BUMN Erick Thohir mengungkap penyebab harga tiket pesawat PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk mahal. Yaitu, karena monopoli penerbangan yang selama ini dilakukan semakin berdampak pada ekosistem ekonomi.
“Ada monopoli penerbangan nasional, yang akhirnya tiketnya jadi mahal. Nah kalau tiketnya jadi mahal, berarti industri pariwisata tidak berkembang. Kalau industri pariwisata tidak berkembang, maka UMKM tidak punya tempat untuk penghasilan baru,” ujarnya di kuliah umum Unika Atmajaya yang bertema “Efektivitas Penanganan Hukum & Ekonomi Dalam Kasus Mega Korupsi” Rabu (26/1).
Sebelumnya, Erick menyebutkan maskapai BUMN itu diketahui terlalu banyak menggunakan jenis pesawat. Sehingga, operasionalnya menjadi lebih mahal.
Berdasarkan data yang dikantonginya, Garuda memiliki 32 lessor. Sedangkan maskapai lain hanya 4-5 lessor. Dari sisi jenis pesawatnya pun, Garuda memiliki 13 jenis, sedangkan maskapai lainnya hanya 3-4 jenis saja.
Tidak heran, porsi biaya kontrak lessor Garuda Indonesia mencapai 28 persen dari pendapatan perusahaan. Sementara, maskapai lainnya 3,5 kali lipat lebih murah dari yang dibayar Garuda.
Inilah yang kemudian membuat Garuda membayar operasional lebih mahal. Tidak efisien. “Garuda (beban sewa pesawatnya) 28 persen. Maskapai lain cuma 8 persen. Secara operasional, lebih mahal,” jelasnya.
Sebagai informasi, Kejaksaan Agung sebelumnya menyatakan bahwa kerugian keuangan negara akibat dugaan tindak pidana korupsi pada pengadaan pesawat Garuda Indonesia bernilai sekitar Rp3,6 triliun.
“Kerugian cukup besar. Seperti contohnya, untuk pengadaan sewa saja ini indikasi sampai sebesar Rp3,6 T,” kata Febrie kepada wartawan, Rabu (19/1). (*)
