KILASTOTABUAN.COM, JAKARTA – Korea Utara mengungkap jenis proyektil yang mereka tembakkan ke timur Semenanjung Korea kemarin, Kamis (25/3). Menurut sejumlah pengamat, “rudal” tersebut bisa membawa hulu ledak nuklir.
Para pengamat mengeluarkan analisis mereka setelah media propaganda Korut, KCNA, mengumumkan bahwa senjata yang ditembakkan tentara pada Kamis merupakan “proyektil taktis” baru berbahan bakar padat.
KCNA melaporkan bahwa senjata itu dapat membawa beban 2,5 ton, tapi mereka tak menggunakan kata “rudal” atau “balistik” dalam laporan ini.
Seorang ahli urusan nuklir dari Institut Teknologi Massachusetts (MIT), Vipin Narang,menduga senjata merupakan salah satu alutsista yang dipamerkan Korut dalam parade militer pada Januari lalu.
“Terlihat seperti yang kita lihat di parade: varian KN23 dengan cat baru dan kapasitas lebih besar. Hulu ledak 2,5 ton kemungkinan dapat menjawab pertanyaan apakah KN23 ini bisa membawa nuklir. Ya, bisa,” tulis Narang di Twitter.

Uji coba proyektil baru ini sendiri tak dihadiri oleh pemimpin tertinggi Korut, Kim Jong-un. Namun, ia mengirimkan salah satu pejabat senior, Ri Pyong-chol.
“Uji coba ini membawa peningkatan besar terhadap kekuatan militer negara dan dapat menangkal semua ancaman militer di Semenanjung Korea,” ujar Ri.
Korut meluncurkan proyektil tersebut pada Kamis pagi ke arah Laut Jepang atau yang disebut Korea Selatan sebagai Laut Timur.
Sesaat setelah peluncuran itu, pejabat AS dan Jepang menduga bahwa proyektil tersebut merupakan rudal balistik.
Ini merupakan peluncuran rudal kedua Korut dalam sepekan belakangan. Sebelumnya, Korut juga dilaporkan meluncurkan dua rudal jarak menengah pada Minggu (21/3).
Peluncuran rudal itu merupakan yang pertama setelah Joe Biden dilantik sebagai presiden Amerika Serikat. Seorang pejabat AS menyatakan bahwa uji coba rudal ini merupakan taktik lama Korut untuk memprovokasi AS dan Korsel.
Namun, Biden menanggapi santai peluncuran rudal Korut ini. Menurutnya, peluncuran rudal itu bukan provokasi.
Menurut sejumlah pengamat, Korut kembali meluncurkan proyektil pada Kamis karena Biden meremehkan penembakan rudal akhir pekan lalu. (*)
