Bandung, – Bupati Garut Aceng HM Fikri menggelar jumpa pers dengan wartawan di Bandung. Kesempatan yang hanya lima menit itu, Aceng gunakan untuk menyampaikan permemohon maaf kepada warga Garut dan Indonesia atas masalahnya yang telah menimbulkan kegaduhan.
“Saya hanya ingn menyampaikan permintaan maaf saja, karena situasinya sekarang kurang baik. Saya menyampaikan permohonan maaf kepada masyarakat Kabupaten Garut dan warga negara Indonesia pada umumnya atas masalah yang menimpa pada diri saya, yang menimbulkan kegaduhan,” ujar Aceng yang mengenakan kemeja putih lengan pendek dan kopiah hitam.
Pada kesempatan itu di sebuah cafe di Jl Citarum, Bandung, Selasa (4/12/2012) sore ini, Aceng juga menyatakan telah menunjuk kuasa hukum untuk kasusnya yaitu Ujang Suja’i.
“Sekarang biarlah proses hukum yang mengujuinya, karena yang bersangkutan (Fany) juga sudah melaporkan. Untuk hal-hal yang perlu dikomunikasikan saya telah menunjuk kuasa hukum Ujang Suja’i,” ungkapnya. Saat jumpa pers, Ujang pun hadir.
Ketika wartawan hendak bertanya, Aceng awalnya enggan memberikan kesempatan. Ia berdalih hanya ingin menyampaikan permintaan maaf. Namun akhirnya ia pun menjawab pertanyaan wartawan. Apa alasannya meminta maaf? “Banyak hal. Ya karena kekhilafan saya. Saya ingin meminta maaf kepada warga Garut khususnya dan juga masyarakat Indonesia,” ujarnya.
Aceng pun segera meninggalkan kafe didampingi kuasa hukumnya. Wartawan yang berusaha mengejar lebih lanjut tidak ditanggapinya.
